Answers
- What languages can you
translate?
We translate primarily from English into Irish Gaelic, however we also translate from French into both Irish Gaelic and English. We also welcome requests for other language combinations.
- Who translates your
documents?
All of our translators are experienced and skilled native Irish Gaelic speakers with a minimum of 5 years translation experience. In addition, all our translators have a degree in languages and/or translation. To ensure quality, two translators deal with all projects; the document is translated by one translator and proofread by the other.
- How is the price
calculated?
All translation projects are calculated on a per word basis using the word count of the original document. Our prices can be up to 30% lower than those offered by larger companies, because you are working directly with the translator. You will receive a fixed price for the project. Discounts may be offered for larger projects. Regular clients may also receive a discount.
- How can you offer such
a competitive price?
AMC Translation Services is a small company, and as a result our costs are limited. We provide the same high-quality, finished product as our larger competitors, but are able to pass on significant savings to our clients. This is due to a reduction in costly and time-consuming communication overheads.
- Which original
document types can you translate?
We accept documents in the following formats: MS-Word (.doc, .docx), text (.txt), rich text (.rtf), portable document format (.pdf) or hypertext mark-up language (.html, .htm). Unfortunately, document formatting cannot be retained for non MS-Word and rich text files. For PDF and HTML documents, the translation will be returned to clients in MS-Word format via e-mail.
- How can I get a
quote?
In order to provide an accurate quote, you will need to send your document to us by e-mail. If you have a very urgent request, you can contact us by telephone at the following number: +353 (0) 86 328 3275. All quotes will be given in Euros only.
- What if I need to
translate a confidential document?
We operate under the strictest confidentiality and we guarantee that the information contained in the document will not be disclosed to a third party unless required by law or directed to by law enforcement agencies. If required, a non-disclosure agreement can be arranged.
- Will my translated
document suit the target audience?
All of our translations are tailored to the target audience. We retain the meaning of the original text and it is conveyed in a style to suit the target audience.
